Saturday, June 10th, is free fishing day in Utah. On this day you can fish in Utah without a fishing license. This is a great opportunity to take someone out that is new to fishing such as kids, scout troops, etc. You can also take the whole family out for a fishing trip without the added expense of purchasing a license for everyone. Utah's community fishing ponds are an excellent place to try your luck. There are many across the state so there should be one close to home. They generally provide easy access and are stocked regularly by the DWR so fishing is generally good at these locations. While you are permitted to fish without a license this day, you must still following all of the fishing rules.
