Several changes are in store for the 2017 fishing season in Utah. Among one of the biggest changes is that fishing with corn with be allowed at eight locations in Utah as a pilot program. In 2017 and 2018, you may use corn as bait at the following waters:
At the conclusion of the 2018 fishing season the Division of Wildlife Resources will decide what the policies using corn will be in the future.
Other policy changes for 2017 include Small Mouth Bass fishing at Jordanelle Reservoir, opening the tributaries to Utah lake to year round fishing, and the kill rule Northern Pike at Utah Lake and Walleye at Echo Reservoir.
